Aw, Oregon Coast how I love you so. We had a random day trip to the Coast. I am trying to convince Joshua that we must go to the Coast once a month before we move back to Bend. In Portland we are only an hour away but once we are back in Bend we are 3 hours away. I love camping at the Coast the most. We took are time getting there last week. The weather was so amazing and we had to grab breakfast at Kens Boulangerie. Yum. We headed to Astoria to enjoy the drive and ended up in Cannon Beach ( where they filmed Goonies, well the ending scene at the beach) It is one of my favorite beaches on the Oregon Coast. We had a lovely lunch and played in the sand for 4 hours. It was an epic day.
Jasper and I got the pleasure of going to San Diego for a week. Thanks to my Mother for letting us tag a long. We had the Mello family Christmas ( yes a little late but never to late to get together with family) Mello is my Mothers Maiden name ( coolest last name ever) My Cousin from Missouri Joe just got engaged and since a lot of the Cousins can't make it to the wedding this summer, they came down to see all of us and have us meet his adorable Fiance Ashton. We are super happy for you both and we are bummed we will miss the wedding. We all got together and had a great time catching up and eating yummy food.
We also got to go see my cousin's surf shop in La Jolla http://www.birdrocksurfshop.com/ They have done so amazing with there dreams. I am so proud of them. Plus I love there clothes ( so great to get discounted Billabong, volcome and Bird Rock clothes)
They made the best surf board for Joshua, it was my wedding present to him.
I got to see my Best friend Angela who's family owns http://www.inkamamas.com/ But Angela is opening up her own by South Coast Plaza. So go a visit her. I would die for her food. We stayed at my moms best friends house in San Diego and had an absolute blast, as always. Lillian will be coming to visit in February. We also got a quick hello from Jaspers Grammy and Grampy. So glad we could see them and Jasper just loves them to death. ( I think it is Grampy's cool long white hair) All in all a great trip and it is always nice to visit sunny California but equally nice to leave and get back to Oregon.
